Selective licensing |
A selective licensing scheme is a short-term phrase which simply means that any private landlords in a designated area must have a license to rent out a privately-rented property. The Birmingham City Council have made it mandatory in certain areas in Birmingham for landlords to rent out their properties. Non-compliance is a criminal offense.
